Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the City of Moose Jaw, Central Butte, Pense, and Craik areas.

An unstable airmass in southern Saskatchewan is triggering scattered thunderstorms this afternoon some of which may be severe. Thunderstorms will continue into the evening hours with the severity of the storms diminishing by late Monday evening.

They say conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, or torrential rainfall.
