Local football fans are gearing up for the biggest day on the CFL calendar.  Grey Cup Sunday is on the horizon as the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montreal Alouettes hit the field. Fans around Moose Jaw are preparing for the big day by showing their Rider Pride. Flags, signs and green can be spotted nearly every where you turn, including a flag flying high in downtown Moose Jaw on the old Grant Hall.

The City of Moose Jaw will have a very visible presence at the 2009 Grey Cup in Calgary this weekend. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds left 15 Wing Friday morning to take part in the festivities in Alberta. The team will do a fly past for the Grey Cup parade Saturday morning and then perform during the opening ceremonies on Sunday at McMahon Stadium.

If you're looking to serve a snack tray this weekend for the Grey Cup game, don't expect to find a watermelon anytime soon. Many national grocery store chains have diverted all shipments of the green melon to Calgary for, you guessed it, Rider fans taking part in the CFL finals.
