This year's Sidewalk Days is in full swing, as Main Street was packed with people throughout the whole day on Thursday.

Sidewalk Days has a long list of things to do including many activities to keep your kids occupied at the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Kids Village, while you grab some grub or do a little shopping.

Discover Moose Jaw spoke with a few kids to get their point of view of how to enjoy Sidewalk Days, and their favourite parts of the event.

Five-year-old Lucas was between activities and spoke about what he enjoyed the most.

“Kona Ice”, he says.

Lucas was a frequent bouncy castle participant on Thursday, and explains why the bouncy castle was his favourite activity.

“The bouncing”, he added with a grin.

He also enjoyed some delicious food, while at Sidewalk Days.

“We had some Déjà Vu chicken, which was good.”

Also taking part in the festivities was Avaya who just finished one of the many obstacle courses at the kid's village, and was sporting a very artistic face painting.

“I got a butterfly”, she explained.

She, like Lucas, enjoyed all the activities provided and mentioned a few of her favourites.

“The bouncy castles, and the ducky game,” she adds with a huge smile.

Along with trying out the numerous games and activities, she did try out some of the foods provided.

“Fries and Kona Ice for dessert.”

Tourists from around the region made the drive to Moose Jaw for Sidewalk Days, including Regina resident Theron.

“There were lots of fun things to do,” Theron says. "One thing I did was go and do the axe throw, which I almost got a bullseye on – it's really fun. My mom can shop for a lot of clothes here, there’s lots of surprises, there’s lots of contests, it’s lots of fun.”

Though he didn’t try any food at the time of the interview, he added he was going to get himself a hotdog.

The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Children’s Village is located in front of Boh’s Cycle and Sporting Goods, and has seven large bouncy castles, a couple of obstacle courses, and an ultimate sports arena for the kids. The kid's village is completely free to use by all.

Included in the Village is the Kids Chill Tent, where kids can get their faces painted. In addition, magicians, Spider-Man, and maybe even a mermaid will make an appearance throughout the weekend.

The three-day festival continues on Friday from 10 am – 8 pm and 10 am-5 pm on Saturday.

People can stay up to date with everything that is happening with Sidewalk Days on their Facebook page.
