Simmons opened with a 7-3 win over Shawn Adams on Tuesday, but fell 10-5 to Kevin Koe during Wednesday morning's action.

In their opening win on Tuesday, Simmons and company scored first, but trailed 2-1 after two ends.

They went in front with one in the third and a steal of one in the fourth before Adams tied the game with one in the fifth. After that it was all-Simmons as they scored one in the sixth, one in the seventh and two in the eighth for the win.

During Wednesday's loss, the Simmons rink opened with three in the first end and led 4-2 after four ends, but Koe was to score three in the fifth before adding two in the seventh and stealing three in the eight for the win.

There's two more round robin games left for the Simmons rink as they will face Mike McEwen on Thursday morning and then finish up against Saskatchewan's Steve Laycock on Friday afternoon.

The Masters of Curling is the second event in the Grand Slam of Curling tour.

This is the third event of the year for the Simmons rink, they finished in first place at the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic at the start of the month and missed out on the playoff round at the Challenge Chateau Cartier de Gatineau last weekend.
