A snowfall warning has been issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada for Moose Jaw and the surrounding area.

About 10 to 20 cm of snow is expected to fall with the heaviest coming on Friday afternoon through to Saturday afternoon.

Environment and Climate Change Canada is tracking a low-pressure system along the U.S.-Canada border that will bring snow from southwestern Saskatchewan to the Manitoba border.

Easterly winds could produce blowing snow on Friday night which could result in road conditions deteriorating.

The snowfall is expected to taper off Saturday afternoon as the system moves out of the region.
