Motorists planning on travelling north on Highway 2 north of Moose Jaw to Chamberlain, may want to postpone their trip.

Highway 2 north of Tuxford all the way to Chamberlain was closed earlier but has since reopened, but is travel not recommended.

To make matters worse there is a jackknifed semi blocking the southbound lane on Highway 11 near the Highway 2 junction. There are also reports of a jackknifed semi at the intersection of Highway 42 and Highway 2.

Motorists are to be prepared to stop, passing is prohibited, and caution is to be used in the area.

In addition, Highway 11 from Findlater all the way to Davidson has also reopened but is travel not recommended. The highway is described as slush, drifting snow and ice-covered with reduced visibility.
