The drinking water advisory for the Southeast part of Moose Jaw has been extended because of low chlorine levels and expected to last until September 9th.

A portable water station has been set up at the intersection of 2nd Ave SE and Lillooet Street for affected residents to fill up their own containers with clean drinking water.

The City said the advisory's extension is due to being unable to restore normal chlorine levels in the lines, and reminds Southeast residents that the water is fine for showering and bathing, but should be boiled for cooking, drinking, brushing teeth or any other consumptive purposes.

If you want to know if your residence is in an affected area you can check the interactive map on the City's website by clicking here.  The advisory was initially issued July 27.
