It's been 1,469 days since the US Division's Portland Winterhawks have made a visit to the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Well...That all changes on Friday night as the Winterhawks are in town to face off against your Moose Jaw Warriors. Moose Jaw comes into Friday's affair with a 24-14-0-2 record and sitting third in the East Division. Things get rolling at 7:00 p.m. and James Gallo has the call on Country 100.

The Moose Jaw WINMAR AAA Warriors continue to fight for their playoff lives, as they are also in action on Friday night. The team will pack up the bus to Warman for a weekend double-header against the Wildcats, starting on Friday at 8:00 p.m. The live coverage can be found on the team's Facebook page. 

Your Moose Jaw U15 and U18 AA Warriors are in action this weekend. The U15 Warriors welcome the Yorkton Terriers on Friday and then the Prairie Storm on Saturday. The U18 Warriors will be in action on Saturday as they host the Yorkton Terriers. 

In junior girl's high school basketball action, it was the Cornerstone Falcons taking down the Central Cyclones 62-59 in triple overtime. 

A handful of Canadian teams were in action on Thursday. Winnipeg doubled up Buffalo 4-2, Montreal edged out Nashville 4-3, Toronto dropped a 4-1 decision to Detroit, the Canucks lost a tough one 5-4 in Tampa Bay, Calgary won in St. Louis 4-1, and Ottawa beat Arizona on the road 5-3. 

The Toronto Raptors have the day off after extending their win streak to a season-high three games with a 124-114 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday.
