Fans at Ross Wells Park were treated to a pitching display on Thursday night, with the Brooks Bombers edging out the Moose Jaw Miller Express 4-2. Kellan Voggesser went six innings only giving up three runs on nine hits and striking out eight in the loss for the home side.

The loss extends the Millers’ losing streak to six games, but still remain tied for first place atop the Western Canadian Baseball League’s East Division with the Regina Red Sox.

The Millers open up a two-game series on Friday night against the Fort McMurray Giants at Ross Wells Parks at 7:05 p.m.

Sask Golf Hall of Famer Lorie Boyle finished 3rd and Hillcrest Club mate Shelley Ruecker carded three solid rounds for a 4th place finish.  Boyle won the 60+ Division.

Boyle walked away with the Mae Balmos Award for being the top senior woman over 65 at the event.

Kim Walker out of Regina's Wascana Club the champ - a three-stroke victory over 2nd place finisher, Saskatoon's Tamara Harasen.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are under the lights at Mosaic Stadium for a Friday Night Football matchup against the BC Lions with a 7:00 p.m. kick-off.  On Thursday in the CFL, the Hamilton Tiger Cats beat Montreal 24-17.

The Toronto Blue Jays took game one 5-3 over the Detroit Tigers in the first of a 4-game series. The Blue Jays and Tigers are set to do battle on Friday night at the Rogers Centre.
