The Moose Jaw Warriors will be looking to get back to 500 tonight when the team welcomes the Brandon Wheat Kings to the Moose Jaw Events Centre. The Warriors are coming off a 4-2 win in Regina on Wednesday. Moose Jaw is expected to have a new defenceman in the line-up tonight following a trade that was made yesterday. The Warriors acquired defenceman Aiden Ziprick from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. Ziprick has two assists in two games this season for the Hurricanes. He posted one assist in 30 games last season with Lethbridge.

Puck drop tonight is at 7 p.m. If you can't make it down to the rink, you can catch all the action on Country 100 will the voice of the Warriors James Gallo with the pregame show starting at 6:40 p.m.

The Warriors will be back on the ice tomorrow night in Regina for a rematch with the Pats.

Former Pat Connor Bedard had two assists in his first NHL pre-season game with the Blackhawks as Chicago got past St. Louis 2-1 in overtime.

Elsewhere in the NHL preseason, Vancouver dropped a 3-1 decision in Seattle.

The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors are back on the ice tomorrow night in Assiniboia for a home matchup with the Swift Current Legionnaires at the Southland Co-op Centre. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at the door.

In high school 9-aside football action tonight Vanier hosts Maple Creek at Elks Field starting at 6 p.m. In 5A 12-aside play, Peacock visits Weyburn tomorrow at 1 p.m. and Central is in Yorkton for a 7 p.m. matchup.

In the Kinsmen Moose Jaw Minor Football League, the 3-1 Moose Jaw Raiders visit Weyburn tomorrow night in U14 action. In the U12 division the 3-1 Moose Jaw Lions are in Estevan tomorrow for an afternoon matchup with the Chargers. The Moose Jaw Bulldogs host the Moose Jaw Spartans on Sunday at 2 p.m. and in the U10 Division Jamboree the Moose Jaw Razorbacks welcome Weyburn on Sunday at 11 a.m.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders look to get back on the winning track tonight when they face the Lions in B.C. starting at 8:30 p.m. The Riders have lost three straight. The early game will see the 10-4 Winnipeg Blue Bombers hosting the 12-1 Toronto Argos.

In the NFL Thursday-nighter, the Detroit Lions improved their record to 3-1 with a 34-20 win over the Green Bay Packers.

In senior girls volleyball action Vanier beat Central three sets to one, and Peacock beat Cornerstone three sets to one. In senior boys action, Central blanked Vanier three sets to none, Cornerstone beat Peacock in three straight sets, and Assiniboia shutout Avonlea three sets to none.

In the Majors, Brandon Belt hit a three-run homer to help lead the Toronto Blue Jays to a 6-0 win over the New York Yankees at Rogers Centre. The win helped the Jays inch closer to a playoff birth, as they hold a one-game lead over Houston for the second wild card spot in the American League. Toronto will close out their regular season with three games against the Tampa Bay Rays starting tonight at Rogers Centre.
