The 56-game regular season is in the books - let the PLAYOFFS begin in the Western Canadian Baseball League. The Moose Jaw Miller Express will have home-field advantage in round one as they take on the Swift Current 57s in a best-of-three. Game one is tonight - 7 o'clock at Ross Wells Park.

The other east division semi-final features the 1st place Regina Red Sox up against the Medicine Hat Mavericks.  That series opens tonight at Currie Field in the Queen City.

Two straight wins for the Moose Jaw Little League All Stars at the Canadian Regionals in Calgary on the weekend.  The local boys are 2 and 1 going into action today.  The latest win a decisive 10-6 win over the Alberta champion Calgary West All Stars on Saturday.  The Moose Jaw boys will play Team Ontario later this afternoon.

The Lynbrook Golf Club had another Hole in One on Saturday. John Luker aced Hole #3 using his 7 iron, which was witnessed by Dave Tillie.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders start a new work week with a 4 and 4 record and sitting 4th in the CFL West Division.  The Riders had the bye this past weekend.  Their next game is Saturday night in Edmonton vs. the 2 and 6 Elks.

Toronto Blue Jays beat Minnesota 3-2 in an extra inning yesterday.  The Jays continue their road trip tonight in Baltimore - the first of a three-game series against the Orioles.
