The Moose Jaw Warriors would finish their three-game Alberta road swing on a high note - winning their final two games. On Friday, they would beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-1, and then on Sunday afternoon, it was Atley Calvert with the game-winner late in the third period to secure the 2-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen. The Warriors will be back at home on Wednesday to host the Edmonton Oil Kings at 7:00 p.m. 

It was a weekend sweep for the Moose Jaw WINMAR AAA Warriors, as they took down Swift Current on Friday 4-3 in overtime, and then rolled over the Saskatoon Contacts 6-2 on Sunday. They have now won three straight and seven out of their last eight games. 

Speaking of being hot, the Moose Jaw U15 AA Warriors won their third in a row on Saturday in a 6-0 win over Warman. That was their 10th win of the season and are on the verge of making the playoffs for the first time in over five years. 

The U13 AA Warriors took home some hardware in Regina on Sunday afternoon, as they walked away with the B Side Championship trophy beating the Regina Blues 7-5. 

Over to the U13 A Warriors they were in Brandon, Manitoba this past weekend and also took home some hardware winning the B-side championship. 

It was a successful weekend for the U15 B Thrashers, as they struck gold, winning the A final against the Prairie Storm Thunder 6-2. 

Big news for the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Wrestling Club as nine of their athletes are going to the Saskatchewan Winter Games later this month. Out of the 13-person team, nine are from our local wrestling club. They will represent the South West District at the games, which go from Feb. 22-25. The athletes are Arianna Skeoch, Aurelia Eros, Eisa Tondevold, Evelyn Eros, Brady Ross, Kingston Usher, Kruz Babich, Tanner Kivol and Teegan Kivol.

Over to lacrosse, the Moose Jaw U18 Mustangs came home with a silver medal at the 2023 Winter Nationals down in Phoenix, Arizona, falling 6-5 in overtime to Minnesota. At the same event, the U15 Mustangs finished 5th, while the Team Saskatchewan Girls walked away with 4th. 

And over to the National Lacrosse League, the Saskatchewan Rush pulled out a 14-8 win in Vancouver on Saturday.
