It was a jammed pack weekend of sports in Moose Jaw.

Starting with the Western Hockey League's Moose Jaw Warriors, they got a weekend sweep of a pair of home games. It started on Friday night with a 5-1 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings, and then came from behind to beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-2 in overtime on Saturday. They are off to Alberta this week for a three-game road swing.

Moose Jaw's WINMAR AAA Warriors split a pair of games at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. On Saturday, they suffered a 5-3 setback to the Tisdale Trojans, and then battled back for a 3-2 overtime win on Sunday afternoon against the Warman Wildcats. Ryder Knutson had the game-winner. The Warriors will be back at home on Friday when they face Swift Current.

If that wasn't enough, the annual Moose Jaw Mavericks Female Classic Hockey Tournament was going on.

It was a successful weekend for Moose Jaw's teams in action as the U15 Mavericks won the A final, the U13 Mavericks 1 lost in their semi-final, the U13 Mavericks 2 lost in a shootout in the A final, and the U9 B Mavericks fell in their A final.
