It was a three-point weekend for the Moose Jaw Warriors, as they had a couple of home games on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Atley Calvert scored the lone goal for Moose Jaw, but it wasn't enough, as they lost 2-1 in a shootout to the Calgary Hitmen. Saturday was a different story against the CHL's top team the Seattle Thunderbirds in a 6-2 route. Brayden Yager led the team with four points, while Calvert and captain Denton Mateychuk had three-point nights. 

The Warriors will hit the road and head west to Alberta for a pair of road games starting on Tuesday night in Edmonton and then Wednesday in Red Deer. All the action will be on Country 100. 

The Moose Jaw WINMAR AAA Warriors had a two-point weekend. On Saturday afternoon, they came back to win 5-4 in overtime over the Prince Albert Mintos with Ryder Knutson scoring the game-winner. Then on Sunday, lost a 4-3 decision to the Saskatoon Contacts on the road. They will be back in action on Friday night in Warman against the Wildcats. 

Moose Jaw U15 AA Warriors picked up one win in their three-game weekend, while U18 AA Warriors dropped a pair of games over the weekend. 

A couple of tournament wins this past weekend for a pair of minor hockey teams. The U13A Red Warriors took home gold at a Martensville tournament. Moose Jaw's U9 Warriors Orange also captured gold at their home tournament over the weekend.

Four Canadian teams were in action on Sunday night in the NHL. Winnipeg took down Vancouver 7-4, the Maple Leafs were 6-2 winners in Philadelphia, and Calgary lost 4-3 in overtime to Chicago.
