A three-run second inning proved to be the difference as the Swift Current 57s beat the Moose Jaw Miller Express 5-2 in Western Canadian Baseball League action on Sunday. The Millers are now 20-14 on the season, sitting 3 games back of the first place Regina Red Sox who lost 10-4 to Medicine Hat yesterday. Next action for the Millers is Wednesday in Regina.

The Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 18U won a pair of games against the Sask Five Marlins on Saturday and followed that up by splitting a double-header against the East Central Red Sox on Sunday.  They beat the Red Sox 6-4 in game 1 but fell 4-1 in game 2. 

The Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 15U lost a pair of games to the White Butte Broncos on Saturday, but won both Sunday games against the South East A’s by scores of 16-6 and 13-3.

The MJMBA 11U AA Canucks have had an undefeated season with a 20-0 record. Playoffs start Friday in Regina. 

In softball, Team Southwest 2024 U13 beat Team Regina in a pair of games on Sunday. They won 19-10 in game 1, and 15-9 in game 2.

In Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Mariners 5-4 yesterday. 

In the CFL, it was the BC Lions over the Tiger-Cats, 44-28.
