The Moose Jaw Warriors split a pair of games against the Medicine Hat Tigers over the weekend. Denton Mateychuk scored the shootout winner Friday night in Medicine Hat to give the Warriors a 5-4 victory. The Tigers stormed back on Saturday with a 5-1 win at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Brayden Yager had the lone goal for the Warriors in that contest, who will look to rebound when they host the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday night. Moose Jaw is currently third place in the WHL East Division with an 11-7 record. 

The Winmar AAA Warriors were able to pick up a 6-3 win in Tisdale on Friday. Next up for the Warriors is the Notre Dame Hounds on Thursday in Wilcox. Moose Jaw is currently tied for seventh place with a 5-6-0-3 record. 

The Briercrest Clippers scored a 2-1 overtime win on Saturday against the NAIT Ooks. Briercrest outshot the Ooks 41-28. The Clippers will hit the road next weekend for a pair of games in Calgary against the SAIT Trojans before returning to close out the semester Nov. 25-26 against Portage College. 

In the NHL, a pair of Canadian teams were in action Sunday. Blake Wheeler scored a power-play goal with six seconds left and Mark Scheifele put away the overtime winner to give the Winnipeg Jets a 3-2 come-from-behind win against the Seattle Kracken. The Jets are tied with the Dallas Stars for first place in the Central Division. Elsewhere, the Vancouver Canucks' struggles continued in Boston as they dropped a 5-2 decision to the league-leading Bruins. 

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be heading to their third straight Grey Cup as they defeated the B.C. Lions 28-20 on Sunday in the West Division Final. The Bombers will take on the Toronto Argonauts who beat the Montreal Alouettes 34-27 in the East Division Final. The 109th Grey Cup will take place next Sunday at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.
