The Moose Jaw Warriors will be happy to return home after a frustrating two-game Alberta road trip, which began with a 7-5 loss to Edmonton on Friday, wrapping up with a 2-1 loss in Calgary last night. Denton Mateychuk scored the lone goal for the Warriors, who will return home for a matchup with the Brandon Wheat Kings on Thursday. With the loss, Moose Jaw now sits in third spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Elsewhere in the WHL last night it was Saskatoon skating past Regina 6-2, Swift Current beating Everett 4-1, and Medicine Hat outscoring Edmonton 5-1.

Warriors defencemen Connor Schmidt and Canada Red are looking to bounce back after a 4-0 loss to Czechia on Saturday at the 2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in PEI. Canada Red now sits with a 2-1 record heading into tonight's matchup against Sweden.

The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors had a pair of wins over the weekend, beating Tisdale on Saturday 7-3 and Prince Albert 3-1 yesterday. Scoring for the Warriors in yesterday's affair were Wade Franks, Dylan Duzan, and Bryce Boughen. Goalie Ryan Bain was named first star of the game making 34 saves. The AAA Warriors return to the ice Tuesday night in Swift Current.

Team Saskatchewan opened the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship with a loss to Nova Scotia Sunday afternoon in Swift Current. The hometown rink has two games today facing Prince Edward Island at 2:00 p.m. and Quebec at 6:00 p.m.

The final four is set in the CFL playoffs. Montreal soared past Hamilton 27-12 on Saturday, while it was BC outscoring Calgary 41-30. The Lions will now travel to Winnipeg next Saturday in the West Final. The East Final will see Toronto hosting Montreal.
