It's Moose Jaw Warriors game day as the team returns to the Moose Jaw Events Centre tonight to kick off a three-game homestand against Brandon. Puck drop tonight is at 7 p.m. and you can catch all the action on Country 100 with the pregame show starting at 6:40 p.m.
The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors rallied in the third period last night to beat Notre Dame 3-2. Chase Peterson scored the game-winner with less than five minutes left in the game. Gage Nagel and Ryan Gibbs also scored for the AAA Warriors who have now won five straight. The two teams will meet again this Saturday in Notre Dame.
Three games in the NHL last night including an all-Canadian matchup. It was Ottawa doubling up on Toronto 6-3.
Team Saskatchewan wrapped up pool play at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship yesterday with a pair of big wins at the Swift Current Curling Club and will advance to the championship round at the event as the top team in Pool A. Saskatchewan beat Ontario 6-5 in the early game before defeating Northern Ontario 11-3 in the nightcap. The championship round begins Thursday with Saskatchewan facing New Brunswick at 12:30 p.m.
In the Wednesday Night Cash League at the Moose Jaw Curling Centre it was Young & Young beating Helmeczi 8-4, Leeville defeating RK Sunview Farm 7-0, BTN outscoring KMS 7-1, EMJ Marketing victorious over John's Music 7-2, and Fountain Tire beating Gray by that same 7-2 score.
