The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors scored five goals in the second period last night en route to a 6-2 preseason win over the Swift Current Legionnaires at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Forward Keaton Lesperance had a pair of goals for the Warriors. Moose Jaw's preseason continues Friday when the team hosts Regina.

The WHL's Moose Jaw Warriors preseason continues Friday night in Brandon. The two teams will return to Moose Jaw on Saturday for a rematch at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Puck drop tomorrow is at 6 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on Country 100.

Moose Jaw Minor Hockey and Moose Jaw Transition House are offering a free event on September 24 for girls ages 4-12 to come out and give hockey a try. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

The 6-6 Saskatchewan Roughriders continue preparations for Friday night's matchup against 3-10 Edmonton at Mosaic Stadium. 

The Toronto Blue Jays' struggles against Texas continued last night with a 10-0 loss to the Rangers, who have defeated the Jays three straight. Toronto is now a game back of Seattle in the hunt for the final wild card spot in the American League. The Rangers hold the second wild card spot and are 1.5 games up on Toronto. The Jays will be looking to avoid the four-game sweep when the two teams meet tonight to wrap up the series.
