Make it three straight wins for the Moose Jaw Little League All-Stars at the Canadian Regional Championships in Calgary. The local boys improved to 3 and 1 with a 5-0 win over Team Ontario. Starter Jackson Boyle got the win, pitching two shutout innings before Dillon Flanagan took the mound for four innings.  He no-hit the Ontario boys and struck out five. Luke Turner sparked the offense with a two-run home run in the 3rd inning. The local Little Leaguers will play the host Calgary Rocky Mountain All-Stars at Tuesday at 12:00 p.m.

Moose Jaw Miller Express getting the Western Canadian Baseball League playoffs off to a good start with a 9-2 win over the Swift Current 57s. Cam Grant hit a home run for the winners while Zach Campbell went 3 for 4 and scored 3 runs. Starter Kellan Vogesser went six innings, scattering 6 hits while striking out 10 batters.  Moose Jaw's own Reece Helland pitched two innings of shutout baseball in relief, striking out four. Game two of the best-of-three is Tuesday in Swift Current.

An upset in Regina as the Medicine Hat Mavericks surprised the Red Sox 11-7 in game one of that best-of-three, east division semi-final.

The World Junior Hockey Championships getting underway in Edmonton on Tuesday.  Game one for Team Canada is on Wednesday night vs. Latvia.  Canada without Moose Jaw Warriors star defenceman Daemon Hunt.  He's been scratched for the tournament with an injury to his right hand after blocking a shot in practice.

The Warriors moving 20-year-old forward Calder Anderson to his hometown Brandon Wheat Kings for a conditional draft pick in a trade announced on Tuesday.

And the Toronto Blue Jays lost 7-4 in Baltimore on Monday night. The Jays will be back on the field on Tuesday in the third game of their four-game series against the Orioles
