Big news for the Prairie Hockey Academy as they have announced the hiring of Barret Kropf as their first-ever General Manager of the program, along with being named the head coach for the U15 Prep team. Before making the move back to Saskatchewan, Kropf was the head coach at Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia. 

The Moose Jaw Miller Express will try to expand its lead in the Western Canadian Baseball League’s East Division as they host the second-place Swift Current 57s at Ross Wells Park on Tuesday night, with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m. 

In Minor Baseball... The 18U AAA Canucks are off until Sunday as they travel to Swift Current for a double-header with the 57s. The 18U AAs don’t play again until July 6 when they travel to Regina to take on the Pacers. The 15U AAA Canucks will travel to Okotoks over the Canada Day long weekend for an exhibition game against the White Butte Broncos on Friday.  

The U10 Moose Jaw Mustangs won the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League Championship this past weekend in Swift Current.  

The U10s went 10-0 on the season and continued their dominance this weekend going 3-0 during the playoffs. They defeated the hometown Swift Current Rampage 11-4 in the championship game.  

The U10s head to Calgary this week for the Canada Day Lacrosse tournament where they will play teams from Alberta and British Columbia. 

The Toronto Blue Jays look to take sole possession of the second place in the American League East as they host the Boston Red Sox Tuesday night at the Rogers Centre.  The Jays trail the Sox by half a game. Toronto sends Ross Stripling to the mound against Boston's Michael Wacha. 

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are back at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday for a clash with the Montreal Alouettes.
