The Moose Jaw Warriors acquired a third-round selection in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft in a trade with the Edmonton Oil Kings on Monday. Heading to Edmonton in the deal is 2004-born defenceman Matthew Gallant. Gallant appeared in 131 games over the past three seasons with the Warriors, posting seven goals and 33 points. The move leaves the Warriors with seven defencemen on the team’s 24-player roster.
The Western Hockey League announced Monday that Dakota MacIntosh of the Moose Jaw Warriors has been named WHL Rookie of the Week. The 19-year-old Winnipeg, M.B. product put up five points (2G-3A) in three games as Moose Jaw went 2-1-0-0 for the week.
