Captain Denton Mateychuk scored two goals and assisted on another as the Moose Jaw Warriors beat the Swift Current Broncos 5-3 in game 3 of their 2nd round Western Hockey League playoff series. The Warriors now own 2-1 series lead.

Game 4 of the best-of-seven series is tonight in Swift Current with puck drop at 7 p.m. - you can catch all the action on Country 100 with Voice of the Warriors, James Gallo.

The Warriors will be back in Moose Jaw for Game 5 on Friday night - this morning, Sasktix is showing Standing Room Only tickets for the game.

In Senior Badminton League, Kiana Hrechka from Cornerstone was the top player in Girls Singles, Cole Wilson from Central was top player for Boys Singles, Micah Salido-Porter and Tara Nguyen from Central were top players in Mixed Doubles, Sabia Palle and Gwen Baluyut from Vanier were top players in Girls Doubles, and Tanner Behrns and Drew Biette were top players in Boys Doubles. Senior League City Championships will be happening next Tuesday.

In the NHL, the Montreal Canadiens fell 5-4 to the Detroit Red Wings in a shootout, Ottawa Senators won 3-1 against the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs lost 5-2 to the Florida Panthers, Winnipeg Jets beat the Seattle Kraken 4-3, and Vancouver Canucks got a 4-1 win against the Calgary Flames. The Washington Capitals claimed the final wildcard spot in the east with a 2-1 win over the Flyers.

Over to Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays won 5-4 against the New York Yankees, extending their winning streak to four games.
