The Moose Jaw Warrior's two-game Alberta road swing didn't get off on the right foot, as the Edmonton Oil Kings scored early in the third period on Tuesday night to go on to win 3-2. Harper Lolacher and Robert Baco were the goal scorers for Moose Jaw in the loss. Assistant Coach Gord Burnett summed up Tuesday's game in one word - "frustrating".

"We weren't executing very well and you have to be a five-man unit out there and I just thought we were a little disconnected," says Burnett. "Edmonton may not have many wins but they work hard and they're a young group that's trying to get better. You have to show up every night against every team in this league."

Moose Jaw will look to rebound on Wednesday against the central division-leading Red Deer Rebels at the Peavy Mart Centrium. Puck drop is at 8:00 p.m. CST., and Country 100 is the place to find all of Wednesday's coverage.

A couple of senior girls' basketball games were in action on Tuesday. Vanier came to play, as they took down Central 74-56, and on the road, Peacock got past Assiniboia 67-33.

The Moose Jaw High School Athletics Association named their Athletes of the Month for December. You can see the full list of the athletes that were awarded right here.

And to the National Hockey League, we go, as three Canadian clubs were in action on Tuesday. Vancouver lost a tough one 5-4 in Pittsburgh against the Penguins, the Jets fell 7-5 in Detroit, and Calgary lost 4-3 in overtime to St. Louis.
