The Moose Jaw Miller Express made it seven wins in a row, as they swept the Medicine Hat Mavericks by scores of 6-2 and 10-5 in a doubleheader on Tuesday night at Ross Wells Park.

The win extends their lead to four and a half games in the Western Canadian Baseball League’s East Division over the Regina Red Sox.

Moose Jaw will look to make it eight games in a row on Wednesday night as they travel to Medicine Hat to take on the Mavericks at 7:05 p.m.

Head to any Moose Jaw Co-op gas bar on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to grab a burger and help out a local baseball team. 

The Moose Jaw Major AAA All Stars Little League team, coached by Troy Turner, play their provincial championship series against Regina beginning on Friday. It is a best-of-three series with the winner representing the prairies at the Canadian National Little League Championship in Calgary from Aug. 4 to 13.

The Moose Jaw Minor Baseball Association is hosting their 18U AA provincials this weekend at Ross Wells Park and Blackwell Diamond.

A slugfest at Memorial Field on Tuesday night - the Giants outscored the Canadians 16-14 in Rambler Park Men's Fastball action.  Ryan Callaghan's two-run homer in the 5th inning made the difference.  A total of 9 home runs in that game including two for the Canadians' Jay Livingston. 

Eight Moose Jaw lacrosse players have been selected to play for Team Saskatchewan.  Cashton Seaborg and Mason Williams, Lachlan Clark, Brodyn Pladson, Kashton Smith, Ryder Gilroy, Hayden Nidesh, AND Mykenzie Shymko made the provincial U-18 Female Box Lacrosse team.

And the American League All-Stars beat the National League 3-2 in MLB's All-Star Game last night.  Five Toronto Blue jays were in the line-up including pitcher Alex Manoah who struck out three batters in the 2nd inning.
