The Moose Jaw Major AAA All-Stars have earned their spot in the 2022 Little League Canadian Championship in Calgary next week, after a decisive sweep of the North Regina Little League on the weekend. The team will leave for Calgary next week and kick off their tournament against Team BC a week from tomorrow. 

Team Saskatchewan announced their 2022 Canada Summer Games Roster on Tuesday, and 11 athletes from Moose Jaw and surrounding communities' names were called. Seven from Moose Jaw, two from Assiniboia,  one from Caronport, and one from Briercrest. The games will get underway on August 6th. 

After losing in their provincial championships, the 13UA Ice have another chance to play in the national spotlight. The team is headed to Victoria on Thursday to compete in the Little League Softball Nationals. Their first games are on Friday against Quebec and Alberta, and then BC on Saturday. If they win they will represent Team Canada at the Little League World Series in Greenville, North Carolina starting August 9.

It was a walk-off win for the Weyburn Beavers on Tuesday night as they came back from a four-run deficit to take down the Moose Jaw Miller Express 8-7. Moose Jaw will return to Ross Wells for a four-game homestand on Wednesday night. They begin it with a two-game series against the West Division’s Brooks Bombers, followed by two games against the Fort McMurray Giants on Friday and Saturday.

Kim Walker out of the Wascana Club in Regina has the first-round lead at the Provincial Senior Women's Golf Championship in Estevan.  Walker carding a one-over 73 yesterday.  Moose Jaw's Lori Boyle outta the Hillcrest Club sits 3rd, 5 shots off the pace after a 78 yesterday - a round that included an eagle on the 344-yard, par 4 - 9th hole. In the Senior Men's event, Delisle's Colin Coben has the first-round lead.  Moose Jaw's Ken Bradley fired a 5-over 77.  He's 9 shots off the lead.
