The finals are set for the city's high school senior girls and boys volleyball championships. In the girls semi-finals last night, Vanier defeated Cornerstone three sets to one, and Peacock edged Central three sets to two. In boys action, Assiniboia downed Vanier three sets to one, while it was Central blanking Cornerstone three sets to none. Vanier will take on Peacock in the girls final November 14 at Sask Polytech. The boys final will take place the following day with Assiniboia taking on Central.

The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors extended their winning streak to four games last night with a 2-1 overtime victory in Swift Current. Gage Nagel potted the OT winner 1:07 into the extra frame. Brennan Brown also scored for the Warriors, who will look to make it five in a row tonight when they host the Notre Dame Hounds at the Moose Jaw Events Centre starting at 7 p.m. Luke McKechnie made 36 saves for his 7th win of the season helping improve the Warriors record to 9-5 on the season.

The WHL Warriors return to the ice tomorrow night at the Moose Jaw Events Centre, taking on the Brandon Wheat Kings. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and you can catch all the action on Country 100 with the voice of the Warriors James Gallo. The pregame show gets underway at 6:40 p.m.

Last night in the WHL, the Tri-City Americans got by the Kelowna Rockets 4-3, and Victoria edged Red Deer 3-2.

At the 2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, Warriors defencemen Connor Schmidt and Canada Red improved their record to 3-2 with a 4-3 overtime win over the U.S. Schmidt picked up a third-period assist.

Three Canadian teams were in action in the NHL last night. It was Winnipeg outscoring St. Louis 5-2, Calgary doubling up on Nashville 4-2, while Montreal fell 5-3 to Tampa Bay.

Team Saskatchewan picked up their third win in a row at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship with a 10-2 win over Team Yukon Tuesday afternoon at the Swift Current Curling Club. Saskatchewan is now in a tie with Nova Scotia for second in the Pool A standings at 3-1 and will take on first-place Ontario this morning and Northern Ontario later today.
