It's Moose Jaw Warriors game day as the team heads east down Highway #1 to Regina for a key matchup with the Pats. The Warriors are still looking for their first win of the season after dropping a pair to Prince Albert and Brandon over the weekend. Puck drop tonight is at 7 p.m. You can catch all the action on Country 100 with the voice of the Warriors James Gallo starting with the pregame show at 6:40 p.m.

The Warriors can expect to see forward Jagger Firkus back in the lineup soon after he was reassigned to Moose Jaw from the Seattle Kraken

The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors will be looking to start the season 3-0 when they head south to Assiniboia for a Saturday home matchup against the Swift Current Legionnaires at the Southland Co-op Centre. Game time is at 7 p.m.

The Toronto Blue Jays lost a heartbreaker to the New York Yankees last night at Rogers Centre. Austin Wells hit a two-run homer in the ninth to break a scoreless tie to give the Yankees a 2-0 win over the Jays. Toronto still holds down the second wild card spot in the American League. Jose Berrios will take to the mound for the Jays tonight, with Garrit Cole taking the ball for the Yankees.

Last night in senior boys volleyball action, Assiniboia beat Cornerstone three sets to two, Vanier blanked Avonlea three sets to none, and Central beat Peacock in three straight sets. In senior girls play, Cornerstone lost a nail biter 3-2 to Notre Dame, Vanier got by Briercrest three sets to two, and Central defeated Peacock three sets to one.

Moose Jaw Ringette is hosting a free event this Sunday at 12:15 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Events Centre for kids ages 4-12 to come try out the sport. Click here for registration details.
