It was all about speed and tempo at Moose Jaw Warriors practice yesterday and head coach Mark O'Leary was satisfied at the end of the day...

"It was a lot of fun. The energy's high and again talking about the excitement coming into camp and it's still there now," says O'Leary in a post practice interview on Tuesday. "It's nice to get through training camp, we're excited about what we saw there and now it's about taking another step and getting back to the details and the work habits that we want to be ready for with the first game coming up on September 23rd."

The Warriors host Swift Current in their first pre-season game Friday night at the Moose Jaw Events Centre and, the club wants you to know season tickets are ready for pick-up.  The office is open 10:00 'til 5:00 each day this week.

Many fans had seen enough and apparently the management and coaching staff felt the same.  The Saskatchewan Roughriders have cut defensive lineman Garrett Marino.  He was suspended earlier this year for a cheap shot on Ottawa quarterback Jeremiah Masoli and, this past Sunday, he landed a late hit on Bombers' quarterback Zach Collaros.  The Riders play in Winnipeg Saturday - that's a 3:00 p.m. start, local time.

Baltimore Orioles outscored the Toronto Blue Jays 9-6 on Tuesday night.  The O's are now 3 1/2 games behind the Jays for the final wild-card playoff spot in the American League. The Blue Jays take to the field on Wednesday against the Orioles for the series finale.
