SGI has released their statistics for the month of June and they're showing that drivers are continuing to get behind the wheel while impaired.  376 tickets were given out over the course of last month with 333 of those people were charged under the Criminal Code of Canada, which means drivers exceeded .08 blood alcohol content, failed a standard field sobriety test for drugs or alcohol, or refused a breathalyser altogether.

While alcohol was a problem, made the focus of June was on new drivers and new motorcyclists. Nearly 90 tickets were given out to new drivers, including 66 caught without a supervising driver.

Law enforcement also gave out 441 tickets for inappropriate or no seatbelt/child restraint.
