The Moose Jaw Police Service have been out and about for the last two months, spending extra time and giving additional attention to school zones.

With the help from Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan, Sgt. Kevin Pilsworth of the Moose Jaw police says the number of speeders has been pretty consistent with previous years. However, there are still a number of people going to fast in school zones and getting caught on the school zone traffic cameras.

"The numbers have come down slightly from when they were originally put in but there's still plenty of people who are still speeding," explained Pilsworth. "While we are seeing a slight improvement the photo radar is still catching people speeding through school zones."

Sgt. Pilsworth appreciates the number of phone calls they have received from residents who offer tips and help make all of Moose Jaw's roads safer.
