Statistics Canada has released its unemployment numbers for February 2023.

In the Swift Current-Moose Jaw economic region, the unemployment rate rose from 3.9 per cent in January 2023 to 4.1 per cent in February. Saskatchewan's unemployment rate increased from 4.2 per cent to 4.4 per cent.

The numbers are unadjusted for seasonality.

Nationwide, the unemployment rate remained steady at 5 per cent.
