Assiniboia RCMP has arrested three people after an alleged robbery near Ardill last month. 

RCMP said an individual was threatened with a firearm, assaulted and robbed. The victim was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

According to the RCMP, one of the suspects had pointed a gun at the same victim in a separate incident. 

Assiniboia RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Ardill on June 27 with assistance from the RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team. Police seized four firearms and ammunition from the residence. 

Kevin Lacasse, 64, of Ardill has been charged with pointing a firearm, uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and unsafe storage of a firearm. 

Chaze Kober, 24, of Mossbank is facing charges of assault with a weapon, use of a firearm in the commission of an offense, careless use of a firearm, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, possessing a firearm while prohibited and robbery with a firearm. 

Benjamin Knudson, 40, of Ardill was charged with assault with a weapon, robbery, unauthorized possession of a firearm and breaching a conditional sentence order. 

All three appeared in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on June 28.
