Ironic?  I think so.

As you know, the Moose Jaw Times Herald put out its final issue yesterday.  They're all done.  It was no longer a viable business after 128 years.

Like many newspapers they found it impossible to compete with the internet.  Not many were subscribing anymore therefore advertising revenues were way down.

Interesting, ironic then, that the final issue was completely sold out.  Some who attempted to buy an ad in the last paper were turned away.  The ad space was full.

Then, yesterday, when the final issue came out in the morning, local people couldn't buy them up fast enough.  I made 6 stops before I found an issue.

In fact, at one convenience store, the clerk told me one man came in and bought every copy they had.  He got them for family and friends forkeepsakes - a part of history.

All this love and all this support for our Moose Jaw Times Herald and I can't help but wonder, where were all you people when they needed you?
