A tornado warning has been continued for:

  • R.M. of Dufferin including Bethune and Findlater
  • R.M. of Pense including Pense Belle Plaine and Stony Beach

At 8:09 PM CST Doppler RADAR indicated that this severe thunderstorm was located about 25 km northwest of Pense and was moving toward the southeast at 40 km/h.

Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for parts of south central Saskatchewan.

Tornado warning in effect for:

  • R.M. of Dufferin including Bethune and Findlater
  • R.M. of Marquis including Tuxford Keeler and Buffalo Pound
  • R.M. of Moose Jaw including Pasqua and Bushell Park
  • R.M. of Pense including Pense Belle Plaine and Stony Beach

Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado.

At 7:24 PM CST Doppler RADAR indicated that this severe thunderstorm was located near Keeler and was moving toward the southeast at 40 km/h.

In addition to a tornado, this severe thunderstorm has the potential to produce baseball-sized hail and wind gusts in excess of 110 km/h.

This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately.

Go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.
