A Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) blitz is taking place in the Moose Jaw area on June 12 and 13.

The two-day initiative will see police agencies around Saskatchewan working with partner agencies to identify traffic violations and take enforcement action. Numerous locations around the Moose Jaw will be impacted by the blitz.

The focus of the enforcement activities will be offences related to speeding, distracted driving, seatbelt use, unlicensed drivers, and commercial vehicle standards. Impaired driving enforcement will be the top priority during the initiative.

STEP is composed of multiple agencies including the RCMP, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol, SGI and the Ministries of Justice and Finance, with the express purpose of improving traffic safety across Saskatchewan.
