Two people are dead after a pair of farm accidents in the last few days.

On Saturday, a 17-year-old boy died after the mandrel saw he was using to help his family saw fire wood,  broke apart causing the 50 pound flywheel to hit him in the head and leg. The teen was taken to a hospital in Melville before being sent to Regina, where he died of his injuries.

The boy's name is not being released at this time.

A 30 year old man is also dead after an accident on a farm near Edenwold. The man died while trying to free a tractor that was stuck in the mud near Edenwold. RCMP say the man and his brother where pulling the tractor free when a tow wire snapped, sending a piece of metal into the cab of the second tractor, killing him.

Edenwold is about 25km northeast of Regina.
