A show is coming to Moose Jaw, and it's helping out the Transition House while it's here.
Menopause the Musical will be playing at the Mae Wilson Theatre here in Moose Jaw.

Jenn Angus from the Moose Jaw Transition House, said "Before each show, the Transition House staff are going to be at the Mae Wilson, selling hot flash fans. A minimum donation of $2, and all proceeds from the fans are going to be donated to the Transition House."

"Specifically for these funds, we're going to use the money raised for our recreation fund for women that stay at our shelter. This fund provides women and families with opportunities to do healthy and fun activities like swimming, going out to a show, stuff like that," said Angus on how the proceeds will benefit the Transition House.

Reacting to the announcement, Angus said "we're super excited and grateful. I've heard that the show is absolutely hilarious. And it's a celebration of women, the show, 'women going through their change' is how they advertise it. And celebrating women is a big part of what we do at the Transition House."

Aside from the play, Angus said, "We always have something on the go. We're going to be running a summer program for the children in the program. We're increasing our employment resources for women and working on some prevention initiatives such as healthy relationships and bullying."

Menopause the Musical is showing from April 2nd to 4th. For more information on the show, go to moosejawculture.ca.
