The Tunnels Of Moose Jaw is in line for some more national notoriety, thanks to McDonald's.

The fast-food restaurant chain launched their annual Monopoly contest this week.  Based on the popular board game, customers earn Monopoly properties when buying certain menu items, with the goal of finding all of the real estate venues on the game board.

In past years, that has meant searching for Boardwalk, Park Place and the other traditional properties.

This year, however, McDonald's is handing out pieces featuring famous Canadian landmarks and tourist attractions, like the Confederation Bridge, Rideu Canal, and the Tunnels of Moose Jaw.

The McDonald's game board replicates most of the Canadian sites, including the Tunnels, that were found on the "Here And Now" Canadian edtion that came out in 2006, and the Tunnels of Moose Jaw is the only Saskatchewan locale on the game board.

"I found out (Wednesday) night," said Tunnels HR and Casting Director/Store Manager Kelly Carty, who said they weren't notified that McDonald's was going to include them, but has no issue with being featured yet again. "One is going to assume we said 'yes' once, we'll say 'yes' again. It's an awesome fit.  We're really proud of (our place) in Canadian attraction history."

And for reality's sake, play the game on nights or weekends.  The space right next to the Tunnels is "Free Parking".

The McDonald's Monopoly game will continue through November 13th
