Of the 51 cases in the South-Central zone, 39 are in the sub-region 'South-Central 2', which is made up of Moose Jaw and the surrounding area

Two more residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 have died, with both being in the 80 plus age group from the North Central and Saskatoon region.

247 new cases were also announced Wednesday and 249 new recoveries.

Of the new cases, 82 are in Saskatoon, 27 from the north-central zone, 27 in the northeast, 24 in the northwest, 23 in Regina, 12 in the far northwest, 11 in the southeast, 10 in the far north-central zone, nine in the far northeast, eight in the central-east, and one in the central-west. There were no new cases in the south-central zone, and 13 new cases are pending resident information.

3,748 cases are considered active, and 205 people are in hospital with 169 receiving inpatient care and 36 are in intensive care

As of January 13, a total of 10,400 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Saskatchewan, however, all vaccine reports for January 13 have not yet been received. A more detailed update on vaccines delivered for January 13 will be released in the January 14 news release.
