Hockey Canada announced that two players at the Canadian National Junior Team Selection camp in Red Deer have tested positive for COVID-19.

The players, whom Hockey Canada did not name, have been placed in quarantine at the team's hotel.

"The appropriate local and provincial health authorities have been made aware of the situation, and we will continue to work closely with Alberta Health Services. We will have no further comment at this time," said Scott Salmond, senior vice president of national teams, in a statement.

Tuesday's intersquad game has been cancelled, as have all team activities for today.

Moose Jaw Warriors defenceman Daemon Hunt is at the selection camp, as is Warriors general manager Alan Millar.

Hockey Canada said players, coaches and staff members were tested when they got to camp ten days ago and regularly since then.
