Moose Jaw's U18 AAA hockey team has undergone a name change for the upcoming season. The team has rebranded and now is named the Moose Jaw Winmar Warriors AAA Hockey Club, after a historic five-year partnership agreement with Winmar.

"This is a historic day for our hockey club to have a long-term major sponsor," said Patrick Boyle, general manager of the Moose Jaw Winmar Warriors. "Winmar is a trusted, professional, and proudly Canadian company whose values align closely with our hockey club and we are thrilled to be part of the Winmar family."

This five-year agreement is the start of a long-lasting relationship between the Warriors and Winmar.

Boyle states in their press release that the Winmar Warriors battle on the ice, while Winmar helps Canadians battle their restoration projects.

The deal was made possible with the ongoing negotiations between the Winmar Warriors and Pete Iatridis, Winmar Business Development and Marketing Manager.

"We are very excited to be part of the Warrior's hockey club and supporting the team going forward," said Kyle Jacques and Anna Tzortis, who own the Winmar franchises in Moose Jaw, Regina, Estevan, Yorkton, and Brandon. "The core values of our business are very similar to how the Warriors operate, with integrity, courage, and drive. We look forward to partnering with the team in the community."

The Winmar Warrior open up their Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League season on Sept. 23 and 24 against the Battleford Stars at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Tickets can be purchased at Sasktix.ca
