An increase demand for the flu shot this month has created a province wide shortage and a clinic set for Moose Jaw is being affected.

The drop-in flu shot clinic scheduled for Friday at the Moose Jaw Public Health Office will go ahead but due to a limited amount of vaccines, the hours have been shortened. The clinic will now run from 9am to 11am, instead of the day-long session that had been originally planned.

A high province-wide demand for the vaccines has put a strain on the supply available. Health regions across Saskatchewan have been in daily communication with the Ministry of Health to relay information about the quantities in need across the province.

A clinic in Assiniboia that was supposed to take place on Thursday had to be postponed until further notice, again due to a lack of available vaccines.
