A cross Canada program aimed at teaching students about taking smart risks instead of stupid risks leaves local high school thinking.

It wasn't a teacher who had the entire student body's attention at Vanier Collegiate in Moose Jaw Thursday, but an 18 year old man.

Shawn Fowler lost his left hand and left foot trying to jump a train two years ago, and was here in Moose Jaw morning promoting the Smart Risk Program. "We're not about telling kids to not mess around, don't be a kid, don't do this, don't do that. We're not a no foundation but a know foundation. Know what you’re doing, know the risks your taking, and know where do draw your stupid line so that you don't get hurt."

Fowler's from Southern Ontario, and he's currently on a cross-Canada tour giving his story.
