Moose Jaw Warriors forward Ryder Korczak was named the Western Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending May 15.

Korczak, 19, led all WHL scorers in the past seven days with one goal and six assists and boasted a 73 per cent face-off efficiency in 73 face-off attempts.

In Game 3 of the Warriors' second-round matchup against the Winnipeg Ice, Korczak had a pair of assists in the Warriors' 3-2 win.

The following night, Korczak added three more assists in all three of the Warriors' goals in Game 4.

The Yorkton product had a goal and an assist on Friday during Game 5, with the goal coming 45 seconds into the game.

Korczak was drafted in the third round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. It was also announced on Monday that he has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Rangers.
