Construction has begun on Fairford Street West for a cast iron water main replacement between Fifth Avenue and Eighth Avenue.

Contractors are currently working on the 700 block of Fairford Street West with the intersections on either side of the street closed to traffic.

Residents are reminded that all businesses in the will remain open during the construction. However, due to the nature of the work and minimal secondary access options, some locations may be temporarily inaccessible during construction. Access to sidewalks will still be available for pedestrians.

Motorists are reminded to obey all traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones.
