The Moose Jaw Western Development Museum is holding a Seniors Time to Reminisce on Sept. 23.
This event takes place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. It will give seniors the opportunity to check out some of the museum's artifacts and photos and share some of their memories and stories from the past.
The museum will also be unveiling its new Reminiscence Kits with artifacts from the 1950s to 1970s.
“Participants will have an opportunity to touch the artifacts, tell some stories or memories, and then we’ll also have some fun facts about the artifacts,” said WDM programs and volunteer coordinator Alexis Jones.
Information will also be provided at the event on how Reminiscence Kits can be rented out.
Jones shared a few of the other activities that will be taking place on that day.
“There will also be a seniors activity booklet that people can take and go throughout the galleries and explore the galleries further. Then we'll have some photo albums from the WDM to see if anybody can name some of the people in the photos from the early 2000s,” she said.
Admission is included in the regular museum admission or free for WDM members.
