Moose Jaw City Council has given initial approval to the expansion of the subdivision on South Hill after selling all residential lots this summer.

On Wednesday we told you all about Moose Jaw being sold out of residential lots. With that in mind and the new West Park subdivision still another 2 years away, what does City Hall do?

That was debated Tuesday night by City Councillors and the solution agreed upon was an expansion to the Westheath subdivision on South Hill according to City Manager Gary McKay.

"There's actually a three phase approach; phase one has 35 lots, phase two has another 14 lots, and phase three has another 45 lots. These initial 35 lots are partly completing two crescents that are already up there. Its along Berkshire Crescent and Everton Crescent."

The plan is to have the new lots serviced in time for summer construction next year at a cost of $1.2 million.
