Prairie Midget Baseball finally hit Ross Wells Park Tuesday night, and unfortunately for the Moose Jaw Cardinals, it was the visitors who came away with smiles.

The Moose Jaw Cardinals played their first game of the season at Ross Wells Park Tuesday night. Despite an impressive effort, they came up short as the Regina Wolf Pack walked away with a 4-2 win.

Moose Jaw scored one in the second, and went up 2-0 after the home half of the third. The teams settled in for the next couple of innings as they both received good pitching and defense. The Wolf Pack played some small ball in their half of the sixth, as they were able to get three runs, and went on to win 4-2.

The Cardinals are now off until Sunday when Estevan comes to town for a double header.
