Highway #39 is closed from Yellow Grass to Midale.

As of 9:20 p.m. on Friday travel is not recommended on several highways around Moose Jaw.

The Saskatchewan Highway Hotline is reporting that blowing and drifting snow on a number of highways has caused zero visibility.

Travel is not recommended on Highway #1 east of Moose Jaw to Regina, and west to Parkbeg, along with Highway #2 north to Chamberlain, and south to the 9th Avenue SW junction.

In addition, travel is not recommended on Highway #39 southeast of the city to Yellow Grass.

Moose Jaw is under a Snowfall Warning, as Environment Canada is forecasting 10 to 20 centimetres of snow is possible Friday through Saturday afternoon.

The snow will taper off from west to east beginning Saturday afternoon as the system departs.
